The Frasca Mentor-G1000 (WAAS) is a single engine training device
designed for procedures training with actual Garmin G1000 Avionics and represents the characteristics
of the class of light single-engine aircraft typically
used in general aviation.
While compact in size, The Frasca Mentor-G1000 (WAAS) is a high quality
simulator that is capable of training pilots to fly integrated
avionics systems such as the glass-panel Garmin G1000 found in Technically
Advanced Aircraft (TAA).
Display Systems
A TruVision 37 inch LCD display system utilizes
high-resolution technology to create realistic, fully
textured airport scenes. Day/dusk/night conditions are
portrayed as, are various weather conditions such as clouds, reduced visibility, and ground scud.

Cockpit Simulation
The cockpit accurately replicates the flight deck area of a typical light single– engine
aircraft. Cockpit structures, furnishings,
controls and indicators will be representative
of the aircraft class. The standby instruments
will be computer generated fully-functional
replications of real instruments and will be
located below the Garmin displays.
Aerodynamic Simulator
The Garmin 1000 Simulator will model the aircraft’s
aerodynamics in accordance with the data
package. This data will include the effect
of aerodynamic changes for various
combinations of drag and thrust normally
encountered in flight. These correspond to
actual flight conditions including the effects
of attitude, thrust, drag, altitude, temperature,
gross weight, center of gravity location and aircraft configuration.
